Backstory

After graduating from university, I began my career in an administrative role, but soon realized how limited the path was toward business development positions. At age 30, I made a career shift and joined a foreign investment fund - my first experience in the world of finance. Since then, I’ve worked in various administrative roles, including real estate investment and mezzanine funds, gaining experience in portfolio management, fund operations, and investor relations (IR).

Through my own career, I’ve come to understand the challenges women face in the workplace. I hope to contribute, even in a small way, to creating a society where our daughters' generation can pursue their careers with more hope and confidence. On my own, this is difficult - but meeting MPower team members awakened something in me. I'm proud to be a part of this team that reflects my hopes for the world I live in.

What’s a side project or hobby you’re obsessed with?

I love dancing hip hop and listening to K-POP music. I've been able to meet people from all walks of life thanks to these those passions! Connecting with people who I wouldn't have otherwise met in my day-to-day has helped broaden my own perspective. I believe that the ability to communicate smoothly with people from diverse backgrounds and to think flexibly leads to stronger teamwork and new forms of understanding. I strive to seek these experiences and maintain an open-minded, collaborative approach in everything I do.

About Yuuki

After graduating from university, I began my professional career at a Japanese life insurance company as an assistant in corporate lending. In 2000, I joined the real estate investment arm of Goldman Sachs, where I was responsible for managing real estate and non-performing loan funds. I later worked at an independent PE fund and a European mezzanine fund, gaining experience in investor relations (IR) and fund operations. I have 20+ years of experience in fund management.
